This place is such a crappy place to live.
Not only are most of the residents elderly, at or below the poverty line or been here for generations.This "city" officials expect some of the highest utility rates in the area. Now they have also implemented a 400% increase in the re-connection fees. How are the people of this town to prospure in this environment? I have been a life long resent of this town, and also on the lower income scale. I once had pride in the place, but no longer. If any one is moving into this area please, don't bother to look in La Harpe. It is a dead and dying town that offers no benefits to living the small city life style.
Note: This review is not about the fine residents of La Harpe, it's about the completely out of touch administration.
